Driving Etiquette‏

Where do I begin with this lovely topic?

This is probably one of my biggest issues I have while driving on the road. At some point in our lives we were all taught how to drive. Whether we were in a drivers ed course in our schools or just taught by a friend or a family member. However, when going to get your license you have to take the driving test.

Now, I will say this; anyone can drive a vehicle. This is not rocket science as “they say”.

It is commomly known that when making a turn you are supposed to use your signals, that is why they are put there. However, apparently some people are just too lazy to use this little instrumental mechanism device.

Every time I get on the road and start driving I always manage to get behind some jack a$$ who apparently does not know how to use his or her signals. Can someone please enlighten me on how difficult this process is? Generally this mechanism is on the left side of your steering wheel *in most vehicles* where your hand should already be placed on the wheel. It is right there people use the dang thing! Do not switch lanes and not use your signal that is a very annoying thing to me. Don’t put on your brakes to make a turn without a signal it is going to get you rearended.

Another thing that annoys me is people who do not drive the posted speed limit. They are either going beyond the speed limit *5 miles over is acceptable* however, don’t be a slow poke and drive under the speed limit. Pick up the pace! The speed limit is posted for a reason. When it says 55 MPH do just that. I don’t want to be following behind on you doing 40 MPH.Generally the people I see doing this is the old folk. *No offense to the older generation” sometimes I have came across younger people doing the same thing.

Oh, and also STAY OFF YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING! That really ticks me off, I don’t know how many times I am driving down the road and see someone on their phone and they end up being the people who are not paying any attention to their driving and swirving all over the road, not using their signals, and driving too dang slow. The cell phone usage while driving is getting to be all to common. It has even gone as far as seeing police officers on their phones while driving. Just a few days ago I almost got hit by a cop because he was on a cell phone and not paying any attention to me turning (with my signal on).

Oh, and for you truckers out there. Don’t think I don’t know what your doing. When there is two of you on the road and your speed limit is slower then the average size vehicle. And I am behind you and trying to get around and suddenly one of you decides to get in the lane I am trying to use to go around. Either somehow you are communicating with each other or your just being a complete and utter a$$.

And for you teenagers that think your so cool in your fancy cars, stop driving like an idiot and drive responsibly or one day you might not be so cool in your car! And please for the love of god stop with the loud annoying music that vibrates my car. Knowone wants to hear your crap. That is another thing that is annoying. When your at a red light or a stop sign and it is warm outside wherever you may be. Have some respect for other people and turn your volume down or roll up your window or something. Not everyone needs to hear what is playing in your car.

I wish the creators of the subwoofers and speakers never made these things for vehicles. Having a stereo/cd player in your car is a plus but please!  if you need to upgrade your “system” to something that vibrates your vehicle and others around you then your just a complete “jack”. You don’t need it! Who are you trying to impress? I don’t know how many times I have seen this but here is an example; a wacked out piece of junk car however the stereo so loud it is vibrating the trunk of the car.

The money that you used to buy that ridicously loud subwoofer could have put a down payment on a new car and then you probably wouldn’t have to get a new stereo for your car because your chances of having a new car with a nice surround sound system inside have increased due to the fact you have a newer car.
